You have to imagine that the wounded man is happy.

Three of Swords is a short zine about disability that features old recoloured illustrations, repurposed medical diagrams, and poetry about living in and loving a disabled body.

I have attached all 8 pages as a PDF, as well as a printable version (see video for tutorial on how to fold and cut the page).

cws for brief mentions of sex and general exploration of internalized ableism and physical pain.

This is one of my favorite pieces of art by far!! I found this zine a little over a year ago as my physical health was rapidly getting worse, as I was finishing/fresh out of high school. It impacted me in such a profound way it has stuck with me since (using it as a phone background, making art inspired by it, and printing the last page(s) to put on my wall, etc). It speaks to me so deeply as a young queer disabled person learning to navigate and confront all of the hard and messy feelings that come with that. With your permission of course, I would love to get some of it as a tattoo sleeve in the near future.  (I will attach some of the art mentioned before) Thank you again, your art is beautiful. <3

Amazing, your mind must work in wonderful ways to be able to create this! Evoked so many emotions within me.. Thank you for sharing (:

Holy shit. Not someone who suffers from physical pain but really feeling this in regards to trauma work. Thank you so much.

Oh wow, this is wonderful. I want to process it more so it's going to live in my pocket for a while. Something with this much substance needs to stew. Will probably print some out and mail them to my friends too.
